Yesterday was spent strolling around West Village with the sweetest couple, who felt like fast friends. We found the coziest corners, threw leaves, and I got to finish the day eating the best steak tartare accompanied by lavender cocktails. If you know me, you know that’s pretty much my dream day. Much much more to come! xx
Yesterday was a massive cry fest, sad + happy tears. My two absolute favorite people got married with their nearest & dearest, both here with us and angels flying above. My heart is the most full
This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of flying to California and meeting Jenn + Ricky. They met us at our AirBnb with their scruffy little pup and it was pretty much love at first sight. We roamed through the desert with the most magical light dancing around, drank beers, and puppy cuddled. If this wasn't a match made in heaven, I don't know what is. Joshua Tree National Park has such a special place in my heart and I can't wait for my next Cali adventure. If you know me, you know I 1000% cried seeing all the cacti in real life. Pure. Magic.
Chris + Maredith said I Do yesterday on the most perfect autumn day. A little sneak peak of some pine tree magic!
Lauren + Bryan's mountain elopement yesterday was filled with the most genuine love, and the sweetest rescue pups. A little sneak peak because I just couldn't wait.
I think I'm still crying from yesterday, so for now, this.
It was such a pleasure finally meeting Marc + Mallory a few weeks back at Elizabeth Park. They inquired last November, almost two whole years before their wedding next October at Senate Garage in New York. It's clients like these, who value photography so much it's the first thing they book for their wedding, that make my heart sing!! They were both a little nervous at the start of the session, but they soon warmed up and got so comfortable I didn't even need to pose them! I always love that moment when the guys finally relax and act as if I'm not even there. It allows me to capture that tiny point in time that often goes overlooked. The way he pulls you close and rubs your back, or how your finger gently tickles his arm. My favorite moments, always, always, always. I truly can not wait for their wedding, Mallory got her dress at Everthine and their venue is filled with exposed brick walls, flooded in natural light, a recipe for magic!
Today is Kara + Dan's one month wedding anniversary so what better day to share their stunning Inn at Longshore wedding. Let me start off by saying, the Inn is such a magical venue to work with, their coordinator Adrienne was actually one of my couples' bridesmaids from last year so she happily referred us! Not only is she a sweetheart, she makes the day go by with ease. Kara and Dan's wedding was a rainy one. The whole morning was spent debating whether keeping the ceremony outside or moving it inside. Kara's dream was to say 'I Do' next to the water with her lover hand in hand, and with encouragement from all us ladies, we decided it would be best to brave the rain and boy was it worth it! The light and gentle mist accompanying their vows added such a sense of enchantment to their day. The rest of their wedding day went off without a hitch and was filled with the sweetest love and most adorable grandparents. Anyone who knows me know I'm a huge softie when it comes to the grandmas and grandpas and I'll most likely be crying the entire time their dancing together. Kara + Dan, you are both such a beautiful couple inside and out, and I wish you all the best in these next endless years to come! xx
Lauren + Pete are seriously some of the most down to earth, fun-loving people I've ever met. We met up at Lyman Estate a few weeks ago on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Me and Lauren were both rockin' off the shoulder outfits paired with denim jackets, a girl after my own heart! The greenhouse was the perfect setting, especially for hiding from the weather! If you ever get the chance to visit Lyman Estate, definitely plan to be there for a while because there is soooo much pretty in every corner! Shoots like these are the ones that make my heart so so full. Especially when you get lucky enough to shoot such a beautiful couple (inside + out) with minimal posing because they were just so natural! After walking around the greenhouses we ventured outside and were greeted by the sun. I always know it's a good session when I get into my car and sit there for an embarrassing amount of time scrolling through the photos and sending out phone sneak peaks! I can not waittttt to shoot Lauren + Pete's wedding next year, I have a feeling it's going to be a favorite :)
Ashley & Mike's wedding yesterday was too dreamy not to do a next day preview.
More to come! xx
I recently got back from a month long trip to Ireland and Amsterdam. Talk about an adventure. One of the highlights was visiting Rossmore Forest Park in Monaghan, Ireland. The second we started walking in, I knew it was going to be incredible. Let's just say, it's basically been a life long dream of mine to do an engagement session in another country, and if you know me, you know how obsessed with forests I am. The second we walked in, started shooting, I got in my groove, and found the most magical light, my heart skipped a beat. No seriously guys, I had a huge lump in my throat, because well, dreams coming true. Colin and Eimear are one of the sweetest couples I've ever met. Their love is effortless and easy and reminded me why I do what I do (& the trees of course). I plan to do a full blog post about the entire trip soon, but for now, this.
Lindsay & Ben's South Farms wedding was an absolute dream. Way back last year I met them to do their engagement session and fell in love with them! Their love is so effortless and sweet, and we had a blast running through the woods. Not to mention, they complained with me about steep hill walks, so I knew it was a perfect couple for me. Friends who complain together, stay together, amirite?! From the moment I walked into her families house to shoot her getting ready on their wedding day back in August, I knew the day was going to be so calm and stress free. The energy in the house was so relaxed and immediately brought a sense of ease over me. As I drove to their house, a heat warning came on the radio and I got pretttty nervous but as soon as I arrived, I knew we were going to make it work, and that's exactly what we did. The whole bridal party worked the heck out of it all day and looked darn good doin' it. Lindsay & Ben are one of the sweetest most genuine couples I've ever met and their families and entire bridal party were so fun and welcoming. The staff of South Farm's game is on poiiiint. They made the whole day wiz by without any interruptions. Shannon, of Ryan Scott Events is one of the best wedding planners we have worked with thus far and just added to the killer group of vendors we had. She is a complete dream worker and organizes the day with ease and spunk. Seriously, if you're planning a wedding and still need a planner, hit a girl up! If you guys haven't already realized that this wedding was one of my faves, by the instagram spam I've been posting of L+B, now you know! Their portraits we're amongst the wildflowers and my jaw was dropped the entire time! All of the magical moments we captured wouldn't be possible without the help of all these killer vendors:

This past weekend I had the privilege of collaborating with Sandra of The Rustic Life. She whipped up a quick styled shoot with beautiful blooms, a lovely styled table, hair and makeup and a gorgeous dress. When you look up 'boss lady' in the dictionary, there she is! A Jill of all trades, to say the least. Tucked away in the hills of Suffield, we gathered around a perfect West Elm table covered in the prettiest details and made magic for a couple hours.

Happy Sunday Y'all! Introducing my first blog post.. Ever!! This is already the third time I'm writing this because it decided to close out without saving, the second I wrote the last sentence *rolls eyes* On a happier note... Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Kate & Jake at Riverbend Farm in Uxbridge, MA. I felt like I already knew them from all the insta stalking i've been doing since they booked me for their wedding a few months back. This session was by far one of my most favorite engagements to date. Their love is so contagious. The way they laugh together (at everything). The way they slow danced in the woods. The way he made her a "nest" with a pile of soft leaves when I asked them to sit on the ground. The way he takes out all the prickers in her crochet dress. Oh, and their matching fern tattoos. This session was exactly what I needed, especially after almost two weeks of being sick. Their wedding in September is going to be amaaaaaazing and I seriously cannot wait! My heart is still so so full.
